The Grange – Benenden
The Grange is our largest accommodation, but it has a small home feel.
The home has 3 areas, The Ground Floor, The Lodge and The Flat, each equipped with kitchen, lounge and dining room meaning that individuals are supported in much smaller groups. The whole home has recently undergone a transformation with new décor chosen by the people who live there. Read about the Great Grange Transformation.
As well as the 3 areas, the home has 7 acres of gardens and a large activity room, equipped with projector and set up for fitness and craft activities. During the pandemic, so individuals did not miss out on their volunteering opportunities a cabin was turned in to a coffee shop!
The team at The Grange are regularly bringing new and exciting opportunities, these have included brewing beer, parties, skills sharing with staff and pamper sessions.
The Grange also has a number of staff who are mindfulness practitioners, a project that was funded through a grant awarded to Friends of Benenden Grange. Staff deliver mindfulness sessions to individuals and their colleagues!
